Highlights of the museum
1, Lu Xun's former residence and Lu Xun's life exhibition hall
The museum area includes Lu Xun's former residence and Lu Xun's life exhibition hall. Lu Xun's former residence is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It was designed and rebuilt by Mr. Lu Xun himself in the spring of 1924, and it is also the most complete site preserved by Mr. Lu Xun in Beijing so far. Lu Xun lived like this for two years, until/kloc-0 left Beijing for the south in August, 926. After that, in May 1929 and October 1932 10, he went back to Beijing from Shanghai twice to visit his mother and lived here once. It is here that Lu Xun completed the trilogy of Gai Hua Collection, the sequels of Gai Hua Collection and Weeds, and some wonderful chapters in Wandering, Morning Flowers and the Tomb. 1949 10 10/9, which coincides with the 0/3 anniversary of Lu Xun's death, and the former residence was officially opened to the public. In March of the following year, Mr. Xu Guangping donated all the books and cultural relics of his former residence and Lu Xun's life to the country for free. At the beginning of 1954, the Ministry of Culture decided to establish Luxun Museum, and set up a showroom next to his former residence, which will open on the 20th anniversary of Luxun's death.
2. New Culture Movement Memorial Hall
This is a former museum based on the former Red Mansion in Peking University. It is the only comprehensive museum in China that comprehensively displays the history of the May 4th New Culture Movement. Peking University Red Mansion is a modern building with glorious revolutionary tradition. It was originally the First Hospital of Peking University. Established in 19 16 and completed in 19 18. The whole building is made of red bricks and tiles, so it is called the red building. As the base camp of the New Culture Movement, the birthplace of the May 4th Movement and an important activity place in the early days of the Party, Peking University Honglou was announced as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in March 196 1. Beijing New Culture Movement Memorial Hall is a demonstration unit of Beijing patriotism education base and Beijing clean government education base, and one of the top 100 red tourism classic scenic spots in China. It was officially opened to the public on April 28th, 2002. After the completion of the Beijing New Culture Movement Memorial Hall, the historical features of the Red Chamber in Peking University during the May 4th Movement were mainly restored, supplemented by exhibitions, and the original historical features such as the librarian's office, the login room, the second reading room, fourteen stacks, trendy magazines, students' classrooms and the gate of the Red Chamber were restored. Holding "Exhibition of New Era-Exhibition of New Culture Movement", the Memorial Hall of New Culture Movement is based on the Red Chamber, adhering to the purpose of publicizing and carrying forward the May 4th spirit of "patriotism, progress, democracy and science", and constantly carrying out various forms of exhibitions to give vivid patriotism education to the masses, especially teenagers.
3. Cai Yuanpei and Chen Duxiu Special Exhibition.
Cai Yuanpei's and Chen Duxiu's special exhibitions comprehensively show the scenes of pioneers such as Chen Duxiu, Cai Yuanpei, Mao Zedong and Li Dazhao working in the Red Chamber, highlighting the historical atmosphere of the Red Chamber during the May 4th New Culture Movement.
4. The collections in the museum
At present, our library has more than 70,000 pieces of cultural relics, books and other collections, including 759 national first-class cultural relics. There are mainly Lu Xun's manuscripts, historical materials of his life, books, Tibetan paintings, Tibetan rubbings, letters from Tibetan friends and other cultural relics. Historical figures during the New Culture Movement included Xu Guangping, Zhou Zuoren, Zhou, Zhang Taiyan, Qian, Xu Shoushang, Hu Feng, Jiang, Wei, Qu Qiubai, Xiao Jun, Xiao Hong, Rou Shi and Feng Keng. There are a large number of Lu Xun's works, translations, compilations, edited versions and Lu Xun's research works, modern literature series and old and new periodicals; There are also a large number of famous Chinese and foreign prints, as well as a number of works by masters such as Wu Guanzhong, Li Keran and others.
