In the story of the novel, the protagonist Luo Ji, after discovering the dark forest law of the "dark forest"-Baidu Encyclopedia Law, threatened Samsung to broadcast each other's star coordinates through gravitational waves, exposing his opponent to more dangerous unknown enemies. Three-body star people therefore gave in and made peace with mankind. In fact, Liu, the author of Three-body, not only introduced the concept of gravitational waves into this work. In his other sci-fi novel Wen Chao Dao, gravitational waves have also become a tool for transmitting information between the universes: the advanced cosmic civilization that human beings have come into contact with has obtained the answer to the ultimate question of the universe by deciphering gravitational waves. In Liu's novels, gravitational waves can be a communication tool because they can easily penetrate objects without any decay. From this perspective, Liu's imagination of the application of gravitational waves is just right. It's just that for us humans, the source of the received gravitational wave information is not the highly intelligent civilization in the universe, but the universe itself.
