There are Archives Development Research Center, Modern Archives Protection Technology Laboratory and Shanghai University Library and Information Archives Experimental Teaching Center. There are 27 professional teachers in the department, including 7 professors. There are 8 part-time professors in Shanghai Archives Bureau, and the teaching staff has a reasonable structure and a high level.

1994 After the founding of New Shanghai University, the Archives Department of College of Literature of Shanghai University was established. In 2008, the Department of Library and Information Archives was established by integrating the resources of archival science, information science and library science. Now, there is an undergraduate major in archival science.

"Library, Information and Archives Management" is a master's major, with three master's majors: archival science, information science and library science. There is a "Shanghai Postgraduate Joint Training Base", information resource management is the key subject of Shanghai University, and archival science is the educational highland of Shanghai.
