MengMeng: Mom, I want to know about your study life when you were a child. Did you read many books when you were a child? What books do you read?

Mom: Well, I had fewer books when I was a child. I read comic books at first, such as Yang Jiajiang, Make a scene in Heaven, Malanhua and so on. Every time I read it with relish, I never tire of reading it. After all, there are few books. Sometimes when I walk on the road and see a mobile bookstall, I will spend a penny to read one, but that is a luxury.

MengMeng: Yes. What are the methods of reading?

Mom: I think books should be read extensively first, then intensively, from thin to thick, and then from thick to thin.

MengMeng: What do you mean by "from thin to thick, and then from thick to thin"?

Mom: Reading from thin books to thick books means taking notes and learning in the process of reading. After all, "pen and ink can't make a book." Because books have their own things, they have become "thick". Reading from thick to thin means reading the "soul" and savoring the "essence" in books.

MengMeng: Mom, if you have any reading experience, please teach me.

Mom: Then there is "review the past and learn the new". Every time you read a book, you will have different understandings and different feelings. You have read a lot of books now, and you will feel different when you read them in the future. Read it a hundred times, and its meaning is self-evident. Learning and accumulation are also important. I also had an accumulation book when I was a child. Read a lot and accumulate a lot. When writing, there will be nothing to write.

MengMeng: You should accumulate reading, Mom. I remember. In fact, books really help me a lot. When I started writing a composition, I couldn't think of anything to write. Sometimes I feel a lot in my heart, but I can't express it in words. But when reading a book, as soon as I saw the author and I had similar experiences and beautiful language, I immediately felt: Ah!
