The School of Library and Information Science of Wuhan University has four majors: library science, information science, publishing and distribution department, institute of library science and information science and technology information training center. Since 1 9 9 3, five majors have been newly established, namely, information resource management, international economic and technical information management, computer information management, publishing and distribution management and archives information management. The training goal of this major is to train professionals who can master the theoretical methods of information science, modern information technology and information processing methods. After graduation, students can not only undertake the information system construction and information organization and management of full-time intelligence agencies, scientific research institutions, enterprises, libraries, government departments and various information institutions, but also engage in the teaching and scientific research of information science. This major requires students to systematically master the basic theories, knowledge and skills of information science, get good scientific thinking training, master the basic principles and programming methods of computers, skillfully use computers, have the ability to develop information software, and have strong information business capabilities.
