At present, the library of University of Science and Technology Beijing covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters, which is divided into east and west sides and connected in the middle, with more than 2,000 reading seats. By the end of 2006, the total collection of literature in the whole school reached more than 14 10000 volumes; 26 online databases in Chinese and foreign languages (16 1 database); 28 kinds of CD databases (1 14 database); Chinese and foreign full-text electronic journals; Full-text electronic resources such as Chinese e-books, dissertations, conference papers, and Chinese and foreign language standards have reached more than 6.5438+0.7 million copies. The library has established the relationship of interlibrary loan and resource sharing with universities in Beijing and more than 40 library and information institutions outside Beijing.

The overall layout of the library is reasonable, with complete functions and comfortable environment. The integrated management of open-shelf borrowing, reading and collection of literature resources has realized open and comprehensive modern management and service. And with the library of Guanzhuang Campus of University of Science and Technology Beijing, the reference room of School of Economics and Management, the reference room of School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the reference room of School of Law and Science, the reference room of School of Foreign Languages and the reference room of School of Mechanical Engineering, the advantages are complementary, resources are shared and complementary, and the guarantee mode of campus literature information network integration is initially formed.

The services provided by the library include: reading, borrowing, reference, academic research, information consultation, novelty retrieval, user training, interlibrary loan, document copying and other multimedia, multi-functional and multi-level services.

Online services include OPAC catalog query, new book recommendation, readers' borrowing information query, new book release, online reservation, renewal, online theme and resource navigation, online database retrieval and full-text download, international online dialogue retrieval, CD-ROM database retrieval, virtual consultation and answering, interlibrary loan application, document delivery service, access and data download according to Z39.50 protocol, online video on demand, online lecture hall playback, etc. Online digital information resources provide 365 days ×24 hours all-weather service.
