According to the textual research of scholars in past dynasties, Lin's surname comes from Han's surname, and Han's surname comes from Ji's surname, which is a descendant of the Yellow Emperor. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Han's family was always listed as a public office in Jin State. Han Kang, the great-grandson of Hanjue, became Zhao's doctor after Jin was divided into Han, Zhao and Wei, and collected grain in Lin (now Mengmen Town, Liulin County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province), so he took the feudal city as his surname and called Lin. Lin Xiangru was the first representative of Lin's early influential and outstanding achievements. Therefore, to study Lin Xiangru, it is necessary to find out the early migration routes and reasons of the Lin family, and understand the early migration routes and reasons of the Lin family, which has an important basis for judging where Lin Xiangru's hometown is, so as not to be confused by the emergence of different opinions about Lin Xiangru's hometown.
According to Lin, a professor at Shanxi Normal University, there are three early migration routes of the Lin family: one is from Lishi, Shanxi Province to Linjiazhuang in Lingshi County, and then from Linjiazhuang to Linjiazhuang on the east and west sides of Lingshi, Linziping Village in Guxian County and Xu Cun in Zhao Cheng, Hongtong County. The second is to move from Lin Jiayan to Linjiao in Yuci, and then to Linjiao Village and Li Xiang Village in the north and south. Thirdly, Lin Xiangru continued to move eastward from the above places to the vicinity of Handan, the capital of Zhao State. I basically agree with this research result. The reasons are as follows: 1. Although Han Kang's way of eating was different in ancient times. One is in Mengmen Town, Liulin County, west of Lishi, Shanxi, and the other is in Weinan, Shaanxi. Judging from the available information I have, there is no doubt that the ancient woodland is located in Mengmen Town, Liulin County, west of Lishi, Shanxi Province. Because according to the situation map of the Warring States period, Weinan area in Shaanxi should belong to the Central Government of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty or the Qin and Han Dynasties. At that time, Zhao's strength was hard to achieve. Since Han Kang was an official of Zhao, his food city should of course be on the land of Zhao at that time. In addition, according to the genealogy of Gong family of Lin family in Chongqing provided by Chongqing Lin not long ago, the ancestral home of Zhi Lin family was, and later moved to Zhao Cheng, Shanxi Province, which was a collateral line of Lin Xiangru. This genealogy can confirm the early migration route of the Lin family, just as Professor Lin's previous research concluded. This fully shows that Lin really originated in Lishi, Shanxi, and gradually moved eastward or southward to the surrounding areas, especially to the abdomen of Zhao State.
Once the migration route is determined, the migration reason can be basically found out according to the reasoning analysis. Because according to the characteristics of the ancient enfeoffment system, Han Kang, as a nobleman, would certainly expand the family business by means of state conferring, paying money and occupying undeveloped land nearby, and distribute the land he occupied to his sons. Son's generation will go to their own land to thrive. This feudal system in ancient times is one of the main reasons why ancient people actively migrated. Therefore, the ancient migration route map not only reflects the migration route, but also often reveals the information of a family to us.
From the original migration route drawn by Professor Lin, it can be inferred that Han Kang may have two sons, one of whom still inherits his ancestral business in Lin Bu, and the other moves to Lishi.
The second generation had three sons, one stayed in Lin Jiayan, one moved to Linjiazhuang, Lingshi County, and the other moved to Linjiao, Yuci.
The third generation also had three sons in Linjiazhuang, who moved to Linjiazhuang in Lingshi and Linziping Village in Guxian respectively. Two sons may have moved to Shilin Line in Yuci, and moved to Nanlinjiao and Beilinjiao respectively.
One of the fourth-generation Linjiazhuang may be moved to Xu Cun, Zhao Cheng, Hongtong County, and the other Linjiao may be moved to nearby Li Xiang Village. Others still live in the same place. After several generations of inheritance, the fourth generation of Shilin has evolved from a noble to an ordinary citizen, and there is a fifth generation.
In addition, according to the genealogy of Chongqing Lin, the Zhou Dynasty fief west of Lishi County in Shaanxi Province was Lin, which was the birthplace of the Lin family. Ancestors moved from Zhao Cheng when Huguang filled Sichuan, and they were collateral descendants of Lin Xiangru Gong. The ancestor Lin Ben was the Duke of Zhou, the eldest son Ren Kuan and the second son Ren He. Ren Kuan is brave and unparalleled. The king ordered him to guard the county and named him the marquis of Wuwei. Renhe is knowledgeable and an official in Yining. According to the information revealed in this genealogy, the genealogy was compiled very early, such as "Wang ordered the county to guard the county, and was named as the marquis of Wuwei", which had the distinctive characteristics of the county system and the enfeoffment system in Qin and Han Dynasties, and "Yining" was the name of Xiuwu in Henan during the Yin and Shang Dynasties. Its content is recorded accurately, and it is named as "the descendant of Lin Xiangru's public collateral line", which shows that this branch of Lin family is very clear about the clan relationship in Lin Xiangru period, and its relationship with Lin Xiangru branch is either very close by blood or where it lives.
According to the existing data and the above inference analysis, it should be possible to roughly determine that Lin Xiangru's ancestral home is in Linziping Village, which is close to Zhao Cheng, and his wedding place is in the south of Taihang Mountain (Zezhou and Huixian are possible, if we want to further determine the newly discovered historical materials, such as where Mrs. Lin Xiangru is from), his temporary residence is Linjiahe (I estimate that there were Lin clansmen living in Linjiahe before the arrival of Lin Xiangru, and they are most likely one of Han Kang's doctors who stayed in Beijing) and Beijing.
