According to Article 8.5.5 of Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings (GB500 16-2006), important files should be equipped with automatic fire extinguishing system, and gas fire extinguishing system should be adopted.

Fire sprinklers can be divided into dry type and wet type. Files are generally not suitable. Because the fire extinguishing medium is water, archives are most afraid of water.

If it is a small general archives room, you can use an automatic dry powder fire extinguishing system, that is, a large fire extinguisher, and hang it in the archives room. After the temperature reaches the set value (generally about 68 degrees, but also 93 degrees), the equipment will automatically extinguish the fire and spray dry powder.

Important files need to be equipped with gas fire extinguishing system. At present, heptafluoropropane fire extinguishing system and IG54 1 fire extinguishing system are popular. There are two kinds of gas fire extinguishing systems: pipe network and no pipe network, which are selected according to the area of the archives, the actual situation on site and the money in the pocket. IG54 1 with pipe network has the best fire extinguishing effect and the highest cost.
