Zeng Huaping County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province
Zeng, a native of Huaping County, Yunnan Province, was born in 1922. 1948 graduated from Chinese Department of Peking University. 1March, 949, participated in Huaping armed revolutionary uprising and served as the director of the political department. In July, he worked in the Political Department of the 35th Regiment of the Seventh Frontier Detachment in Northwest Yunnan, and joined the Party in June+February, 5438. In February 50, Huaping was liberated with the army and served as the first deputy magistrate of the county people's government. In June of May1year, he was put into labor reform, rehabilitated in June 1982, and then retired. 1985 was hired to teach in his hometown, served as secretary of the school party branch and vice chairman of CPPCC, vice chairman of the editorial board of Literature and History Materials, and revised the county annals. 1997 initiated the establishment of Huaping County Poetry Couplet Association, and served as executive vice president and president. He used to be a director of the Southern Research Association of Yunnan Poetry Society. Now he is honorary president of Huaping County Poetry Couplet Association, researcher of China Couplet Culture Research Institute, and member of China Couplet Association' Chinese Poetry Association'. He is the author of Basic Knowledge of Poetry Couplets, Struggle for Life, Uneven Collection and Selected Poems of Zeng. His works have been included in the Department of Chinese Studies, Couplets of Classical Chinese Studies Poems, Award for Contribution of Famous Chinese Scholars, World Art Department-Art of China, Complete Works of China's Poems, Collection of the First Outstanding Achievement Award of Chinese Studies Innovation, Yearbook of World Chinese Poetry Artists, Love China-Patriotic Poetry Collection, Membership Ceremony of China Couplet Society, etc. Ode to the Moon, History of China Poetry, Thirty Years of Literature and Art in China, Poems on Earthquake Relief, Poems on Commemorating the 29th Beijing Olympic Games, and Naming Ceremony of Olympic Champions. He has won the China Award for Outstanding Contribution to Sinology, the Gold Award for Poetry and the First International Gold Award for Global Culture, Art and Literature, and has been awarded honorary titles such as China Sinologist, Famous Artist, Monument Artist, Love Poet, Gold Award for Olympic Culture, and Inscription on National Bibliography.
