Lu Muzhai, a native of Mianyang (now Xiantao City), Hubei Province, is a famous educator, bibliophile and engraver in China. He used all his property in the industry to develop education, and successively donated money to set up Lushi foster home, Muzhai Primary School, Muzhai Middle School, Nankai University Library and other educational places. Born into a poor scholarly family. At the age of 9, he studied with his father. At the age of 28, he had not yet become famous. "Crazy life" in the eyes of villagers. Lu Muzhai's Experience

1883 He wrote "Explanation of Firearms' True Tactics", which was recommended to Peng Zuxian, Governor of Hubei Province, and published by Peng, who was also studying in Tiaojingxin College. At the age of 29, Zhang Zhidong was recommended as a "well-read", and Li Hongzhang, governor of Zhili, appointed him as the chief math teacher of Tianjin Military Equipment School. After 1887, he served as a magistrate of Zanhuang, Nangong, Dingxing and Feng Run in Zhili. Dredged more than 30 miles of four rivers, such as Black Dragon, Mud, Sand and Steep, built more than 5 miles of crevasses in the Home Returning River, repaired more than 20 miles of dikes, and personally surveyed the flight facilities. When the Boxer entered the county, Lu said, "I swear to die, and I will never be lucky enough to live in bandits", and wrote to the book club to entrust the funeral, so that it was appreciated by the Qing court. 1900 Duolun Nuoer Hall broke down, and every two years, they had to hold huge sums of money. 1903 as supervisor of Baoding Guandong University. 1905 led Zhili officials and gentry to study in Japan. The following year, he became academic ambassador of Zhili, and successively set up Mongolian nursing homes, Tianjin, Baoding and Fengtian libraries, dozens of specialized schools for teachers, law and politics, agriculture, industry, commerce, medicine, fine arts and aquatic products, and hundreds of Feizhong official primary schools. It is advocated that running a school should "keep the code of respecting martial arts, practicality and public welfare, and plant the foundation of moral education, intellectual education and physical education"; Hire more teachers to "choose people for things and don't let people get in the way." When the Qing Palace motioned to donate it to the governor, it refused. Immediately transferred to Fengtian to promote learning. During the Republic of China, he had no intention of achieving a career. He bought real estate in Tianjin, Shanhaiguan, Qinhuangdao, Haikou and Beijing, and invested in Kailuan Coal Mine, Qixin and Ji 'an Waterworks, Hua Yao Glass Company and Zhangjiakou Electric Company. Lushi Primary School was established in Tianjin 19 16, and Danzhuang Primary School was established in Beidaihe 1925. And donated money to build a machine to fight floods on the south bank of the Han River in Xiantao Town, his hometown, which was called "Lu" in history. 1927 donated 65,438+10,000 yuan to build Nankai University Library (later named Muzhai Library) and donated more than 65,438+10,000 books.
