Requirements for setting outdoor evacuation stairs
Outdoor evacuation stairs refer to stairs separated from buildings by fire-resistant structures and located outside the walls. It is mainly used for emergency evacuation and can be used as an auxiliary smoke-proof staircase. This paper will introduce in detail the requirements for the setting of outdoor evacuation stairs.

Manufacture of incombustible materials

Stairs and exit platforms on each floor shall be made of incombustible materials. The fire resistance limit of the platform should not be lower than1h.

Don't open other doors and windows.

On the wall within 2m around the stairs, no other doors and windows can be opened except the evacuation door. Evacuation doors should be Class B fire doors and should not face the stairs.

Minimum clear width is not less than 0.9m

The minimum clear width of stairs should not be less than 0.9m, the inclination angle should not be greater than 45, and the height of handrails should not be less than1.1m.
