Hubei University of Commerce and Trade (formerly Business College of Hubei University of Technology) is an ordinary undergraduate college with full-time undergraduate and junior college education approved by the Ministry of Education. On June 20 15, it officially left Hubei University of Technology and transformed into an independent ordinary undergraduate college.

There are Wuhan Campus and Xianning Campus, covering an area of 1.300 mu. There are 69 school-level teaching and research projects and 20 provincial-level teaching and research projects, among which the "pilot reform of teaching quality supervision and management in independent colleges" is a comprehensive reform pilot of higher education in Hubei Province, with 3 provincial-level teaching and research projects, 6 provincial-level educational science planning projects and 5 provincial-level humanities projects.
