Many small and medium-sized iron and steel enterprises still have some ironmaking technologies and equipment that are old, and the backward indicators are far from the advanced indicators. Eliminating backward production capacity and shutting down old and backward steel equipment is the only way to save energy in the steel industry.
The second is to popularize mature energy-saving and consumption-reducing technologies and develop new energy-saving technologies.
The iron and steel industry has long process, many processes, high energy consumption and large space for energy recovery. Speed up technical transformation, popularize and apply energy-saving technologies such as dry quenching, integration of humidity control and air separation of coking coal, efficient incineration with high oxygen enrichment and high coal injection, differential pressure power generation of blast furnace gas, dry dust removal of converter, and negative energy steelmaking. We should not only promote the existing leading technologies, but also encourage enterprises to continue to increase research and development efforts, explore new technologies, and make full use of waste heat and energy capital.

Extending the industrial chain of comprehensive utilization of iron and steel, encouraging the iron and steel industry to unite with other industries, promoting comprehensive utilization, improving the recovery and comprehensive utilization of residual gas, waste heat and pressure, solid waste and wastewater, and combining with industries such as building materials, petrochemicals and electric power will help improve the utilization rate of social resources, reduce the discharge of various pollutants and achieve a win-win situation in many aspects.
Fourth, promote the construction of energy management and control centers in the steel industry and improve the level of energy management and control.
Choose computer system integration technology, dynamic balance analysis technology and energy data fusion technology, highlight the three levels of company, occupation and government, build the source energy control center of iron and steel industry, complete the functions of energy consumption data collection and analysis, energy-saving information release and energy-consuming equipment collaborative automation office in iron and steel enterprises, and promote the integration of energy conservation and informatization. Establish the basic database of electricity consumption management in iron and steel industry, strengthen energy consumption monitoring and analysis, give early warning to high-energy enterprises, strengthen information sharing and improve energy-saving efficiency.
