The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Fuzhou University was established in May 2006 18. Its predecessor, the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, was founded by Mr. Lu Jiaxi, a former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, an academician of China Academy of Sciences and a famous chemist at the beginning of Fuzhou University. After nearly half a century of hard work, it has developed and grown. The college is now composed of chemistry department, chemical engineering department, applied chemistry department, chemical biology and pharmacy department, process equipment and control engineering department, experimental teaching center and national engineering research center of fertilizer catalyst.
There are 92 faculty members/kloc-0, including 43 full-time teachers/kloc-0 (including research series) and 22 experimental technicians. Among the teachers, 77 (53.8%) have doctoral degrees, 25 (17.5%) are studying for doctoral degrees, and 90 (62.9%) have foreign academic qualifications. At present, there are 95 full and associate professors (including researchers) (including China Academy of Engineering 1 person, 3 national experts with outstanding contributions and 3 Minjiang scholars), and 39 doctoral supervisors, with a strong faculty.
The college has two national key construction projects of "2 1 1 project": national key discipline of physical chemistry, basic research and application of condensed physical chemistry, and green chemical engineering and technology. With the establishment of the National Engineering Research Center for Fertilizer Catalysts, the National Engineering Center has brought into play the advantages of basic research and technology integration and innovation, and has become the forefront of the industrialization of scientific research achievements in our college.
The college has the right to award doctoral degrees in two first-class disciplines, chemistry and chemical engineering, covering ten doctoral programs in the two disciplines, and is authorized to independently set up six doctoral programs in the other two disciplines. He was also awarded the right of Dr. two disciplines in pharmaceutical analysis under the first-level discipline of pharmacy. There are two Post-Doctoral Research Center of chemistry and chemical engineering.
The College has the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Photocatalysis-the National Key Laboratory Cultivation Base established by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Key Laboratory of Food Safety Analysis and Testing Technology of the Ministry of Education, as well as the Fujian Provincial Photocatalytic Engineering Research Center, the Fujian Provincial Functional Materials Engineering Research Center, the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Photocatalysis and the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Solid Materials Chemistry.
The college has a national scientific research and teaching talent training base (chemistry major), a national experimental teaching demonstration center (chemistry and chemical engineering), and an innovative experimental area for talents training mode of chemical basic disciplines combining science and engineering at the provincial level (which has been recommended to be declared as a national experimental area).
The college adheres to the teaching reform oriented to 2 1 century, and has three provincial-level excellent courses: structural chemistry, chemical engineering principles, chemical engineering and technology experiments. The teaching team of Fujian Province (chemical engineering and technology specialty), 1 national model of teachers' morality, and 2 provincial-level teaching masters, 1 1 times won the school teaching excellence award. Research and Practice of Optimal Design of Chemical Engineering Principles won the second prize of National Teaching Achievement (200 1), the first prize of Fujian Teaching Achievement Award for Implementing Experimental Teaching of Research Specialty to Improve Students' Innovative Ability (2005), and the second prize of Fujian Teaching Achievement Award for Exploration and Practice of Cultivating Chemical Innovative Talents with Scientific Research and Training as the Main Line (2005).
The college actively carried out scientific research and achieved important results. It has undertaken a large number of national, provincial and ministerial key scientific research projects. Since the Tenth Five-Year Plan, 590 scientific research projects have been obtained, with a total funding of113.2 million yuan, including 79 national-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission, with a total funding of 62.885 million yuan. Published 8 14 SCI and EI papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, and obtained 37 patents (including 24 invention patents). Scientific research achievements have won 23 national, provincial and ministerial awards, including the second prize of national technological invention, the second prize of national scientific and technological progress and the first prize of Fujian science and technology (5 items).
The college has long adhered to the characteristics of combining basic research with application development, and cooperated with many enterprises such as Yongan Zhisheng Company, Malata Group Co., Ltd., Guangdong Kelon Group, Fujian Longhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Fuxing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. for a long time, actively and effectively transforming scientific research results into productivity, creating remarkable economic benefits for enterprises. Since the Tenth Five-Year Plan, a total of 14 research achievements have been industrialized, with an added output value of 872 million yuan and an economic benefit of 3 1 1 billion yuan.
The College has continuously expanded academic exchanges and cooperative research with foreign countries, established long-term cooperative research with famous universities or research institutes at home and abroad (6) and (5), and held many international academic conferences and national academic conferences, with increasing academic influence.
