Brief Introduction of Library Department of Nanjing Forestry University

1, reader service department

The reader service department is the department engaged in the organization and management of books and periodicals, the borrowing and returning service and the management of readers' cards. Main job responsibilities are:

(1) Collect the information of readers' needs, analyze the laws of readers' utilization of resources, and provide scientific basis for the construction of library resources;

(2) Responsible for the warehousing, shelving, whole shelf, outbound inspection, inverted shelf and inventory of books;

(3) Responsible for the circulation of books and the management of stacks, and actively carry out services such as book borrowing, renewal and repayment;

(4) Responsible for the management of readers' violation of regulations, overdue, book damage and book loss;

(5) Management, consultation and reading guidance for foreign readers;

(six) to register the reader's card and handle the graduation certificate for graduates;

The Ministry of Resources Construction is responsible for planning and implementing the construction of library resources. Main job responsibilities are:

(1) Formulate the development plan of library literature resources, the annual selection plan and budget of various literature resources;

(2) Responsible for the procurement of books, newspapers, electronic resources, audio-visual materials and other literature resources and the management of the use of funds;

(3) Do a good job in bidding and purchasing literature resources;

(4) Cooperate with library activities, contact booksellers and database vendors to hold various lectures and book fairs;

(5) Visit, purchase, acceptance, reimbursement and inquiry of Chinese and foreign paper books, Chinese and foreign paper periodicals and electronic resources;

(6) Cataloging, processing, collection and delivery of books (including discs attached with books), current periodicals and paper doctoral dissertations in our school;

(7) cooperate with the information consulting department to do a good job in statistics, summary and evaluation of the utilization rate of various electronic resources;

3. Digital Technology Department

Digital Technology Department is the department that provides technical support and guarantee for library automation and digital business. Main job responsibilities are:

(1) Assist library leaders to make plans for library automation and digitalization, and organize their implementation;

(two) to ensure the safe and reliable operation of various application service platforms such as library integrated management system and library website;

(3) Ensure the normal operation of the library network, servers, storage equipment, work equipment and various service terminals;

(4) Maintain legal user terminals related to Huiwen management system, and cooperate with Huiwen Company for daily system upgrade;

(5) Maintain various digital resources access platforms of the library to ensure their normal operation;

(6) Responsible for the construction of multimedia resources in the library and the reading service of multimedia resources and electronic resources;

(7) Develop and maintain the library website and business management system;

(8) Tracking and developing new technologies to provide technical support for other departments and users of the library;

4. Information Consulting Department

Information consulting department is a department that provides subject services and develops modern information consulting services in libraries. Main job responsibilities are:

(1) Carry out sci-tech novelty retrieval service to provide scientific basis for the declaration and appraisal of scientific research topics inside and outside the school;

(2) Using the literature resources to enjoy the collaboration network, and helping readers to obtain the required literature materials through the original text transmission;

(3) To be responsible for the library entrance education for freshmen and the organization and teaching of the courses of "Literature Retrieval and Utilization" for graduate students and undergraduates in the whole school;

(4) To participate in the formulation of business study and training plans in the museum, be responsible for the special training of various information resources in the museum, and guide and assist in the declaration of various scientific research topics in the museum;

(5) Participate in library decision-making consultation, track the latest trends of university libraries at home and abroad, and submit relevant research reports regularly;

(6) Participate in organizing and planning library cultural construction, publicity and promotion, user training, user survey and other activities;

(2) Responsible for the management of librarians (including regular employees, retired employees, temporary employees, and students' work-study programs), and assisting in personnel work such as post appointment, business assessment, title promotion, and job transfer;

(4) Responsible for the management of library finance and fixed assets;
