The library of Liaoning Vocational College of Petrochemical Technology was founded in 1952. Its predecessor was Liaoning Petrochemical School Library and Jinzhou Petrochemical Company Staff University Library. At present, there are two independent buildings in the library, covering an area of 3,434 square meters, including 2,524 square meters in the headquarters and 9 10 square meters in the south campus. Library staff 12, including 8 with college education or above, accounting for 67% of the total number of libraries; Associate professor 1 person, associate research librarian 1 person, 5 librarians. There are nearly 200,000 books in the library, including 6,543,807 books in the north campus and 20,000 books in the south campus. Professional books and documents account for more than 70% of the total collection. There are more than 360 Chinese and foreign newspapers and periodicals, 1000, with more than 9000 copies. The library closely revolves around the professional construction of the college. After decades of accumulation and development, it has basically formed a collection system focusing on petrochemical industry, industrial analysis, chemical machinery, automation, electronic technology, computer science and humanities. The library has 2 editing rooms, 5 stacks, 2 student reading rooms, 1 teacher reference room and 2 newspaper reading rooms. There are 600 reading seats. The library is open all day and more than 70 hours a week.
