After Xu Beihong's death, Liao donated more than 1200 works left by Xu Beihong before his death and more than 1000 famous paintings and calligraphy, books, pictures, inscriptions and art materials of Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties and modern times collected by Xu Beihong to the Ministry of Culture, and donated a set of Beijing.
