According to China People's Vocational Skills Appraisal Standard (Book Publisher), China People's Workers' Technical Grade Standard (Press and Publication) and Unified Textbook for Book Publisher Qualification Appraisal.

Determine the contents of qualification appraisal of primary, intermediate and advanced book publishers respectively.

According to the different assessment requirements of junior, middle and senior book publishers, the theoretical knowledge and operational skills are assessed respectively. Theoretical knowledge needs written examination and closed-book examination, and operational skills need practical operation examination.

The evaluation results are based on the 100-point system, and both evaluations have passed the assessment at this level. 60 points passed, and the single qualified result of assessment and appraisal is valid for two years.

A book publisher who has obtained a certificate of primary technical level through examination shall be qualified as a book publisher and may engage in book distribution. A book publisher who has obtained a technical grade certificate above the intermediate level (including the intermediate level) has obtained the qualification of a book publisher and can independently carry out business according to law.
