The library consists of four comprehensive branches and two reading branches. The four comprehensive branches are: stable Shanxi branch, stable Shandong branch, Yujiatou branch and Nanhu campus branch. Two reading branches are: navigation branch and information branch. The library implements the management mode of the main and branch libraries. The general library is located in the branch of the west campus, and consists of nine directly affiliated departments: library office, general party branch office, college branch management office, editorial department, technical department, digitization department, reference and consultation department, sci-tech novelty retrieval workstation and circulation reading department.

The branch libraries (reference rooms) of 23 colleges (departments and institutes) in the whole school accept the unified leadership of the library in business and form a library system together with the library. The library system has realized unified business management, unified resource construction and unified document information service, and formed a document resource guarantee network covering the whole school.

In 2007, there were 229 staff members in the library system, including Library 196 and 33 branch libraries (reference rooms) in 22 colleges (departments and institutes). The academic structure of the staff is: 22 doctoral students, undergraduate students 1 14, junior college students 6 1 person, and 32 others. The title structure is: 49 senior titles, 49 intermediate titles 104, 20 junior titles, 56 workers and technicians, and others.
