Guizhou University is a double-class university. Guizhou University was founded in 1902, and was named Guizhou University in 1950 and 10 after the period of Guizhou University Hall, provincial Guizhou University, national Guizhou College of Agriculture and Industry and national Guizhou University. In February 2004, it became a university approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guizhou Province.
