In 2002, the school was formed by the merger of the former Laoshan Vocational Secondary School with a history of 50 years and the former Laoshan No.1 Vocational High School. At present, there are 225 faculty members and nearly 3,000 students. There are general junior colleges, general secondary schools, vocational secondary schools, adult junior colleges and secondary schools, and the secondary school department offers computer applications, automobile maintenance, electromechanical integration, clothing design and technology, accounting, international business and tourism services and management. The college offers basic English, tourism English, Korean, logistics management and customs declaration. The adult education department provides technical training and vocational skills appraisal and evaluation for nearly 20 types of jobs. The school covers an area of 135 mu, with a building area of 33,000 square meters. Qingdao Hi-tech Vocational School is located in the east of Qingdao, a beautiful coastal city and the "sailing capital" of China.
