1. Read with questions
There are three processes for memory to enter our brain, namely sensory memory, short-term memory and long-term memory. First, sensory memory refers to the instantaneous memory produced by sensory organs such as vision, hearing, taste and smell when they perceive stimuli, which is calculated by a fraction of a second. Sensory memory only stays at the sensory level, and it will disappear immediately if you don't pay attention.
How many people in red passed by on your way home?
When we pay attention to the information we want to pay attention to, the information will enter short-term memory. Short-term memory refers to the memory of four chunks that we can realize, which usually lasts for more than 20 seconds.
For example, when you read a book, you read the first word to the fourth word, and then you forget the fifth word. Meanwhile, if it takes more than twenty seconds, the current four words will be forgotten.
Finally, when we realize that this information is very important to us, we will enter into long-term memory, and all our daily activities come from these long-term memories, such as: red light stops and green light goes.
After understanding the memory process, you will find that if you have no problems when reading, you will forget how you can not be sleepy after reading, so read with questions and focus on the problems.
This will be very energetic, and it is also easy to enter long-term memory because of solving problems.
Study in the study area
Psychology divides people's learning state into three areas, namely comfort zone, learning zone and panic zone. Reading in the comfort zone means forgetting after reading, and there is no progress. Studying in the panic zone is completely beyond our understanding. If we force ourselves to see it, we will only be anxious and sleepy, such as studying economics and philosophy, without any foundation. Learning area is a state that we can understand with a little thinking, for example, we have the psychological basis of learning psychology.
So we have to study in the study room.
Make sure you are full of energy.
Reading will consume a lot of your energy. After working all day, you will start reading without rest. Of course, you will feel sleepy. Everyone's energy is different. Some people are in the morning, others are in the evening. At this time, you are energetic and focused, which can be used for reading. If you are exhausted, you can take a nap 10 minutes or so or meditate.
