Zunyi Library, founded in 195 1, is one of the earliest public libraries in Guizhou Province. Its site passes through Jianggong Temple (Zunyi No.1 Middle School), the former site of the Red Army General Political Department and No.7 Ziyin Road. Moved to the present site in 2006, officially opened to the public on September 28, 2007, and was awarded as a national city in 2009.
