Appreciation of library cases
I think Luo Pang is quite interesting. After listening to his New Year speeches several times, one story attracted me, which was a case of successful transformation of librarian position. He told a story about how the headmaster transformed the position of librarian, which was meaningful and worth pondering. The headmaster's name is Li Xigui, and he is the headmaster of the 11th Alliance General School of a famous Beijing school. When Li Xigui first took office in No.11 school, he asked the librarian a question: "Suppose a student loves reading too much and gives the book directly. The librarian said, "Isn't this against school discipline? The nature is very bad and must be dealt with seriously. " Li Xigui said, "I want to remind you that as a librarian, you feel responsible for your work. However, because you have a sense of responsibility, you stand on the opposite side of a child who loves reading.

The headmaster spoke very well. As a librarian, is he responsible for all books, or is he responsible for students' reading and learning knowledge? If you are only in charge of books, of course, the newer the better. In other words, the fewer people borrow books, the fewer people read books, the newer books, the fewer books they read, the cleaner they can be, and the less things administrators have to do. Over time, he is just a character sitting there drinking tea, chatting and reading newspapers. Don't think all day, just go to work and get off work on time. But if you don't borrow books, you won't read them, and the library will be meaningless. Since no students borrow books, the position of librarian is a dispensable position, and knowledge will not be shared and studied by more people, which runs counter to the original intention of establishing a library.

The wise Dean Li redefined the role of librarian. He asked the librarian to communicate with the teacher and adjust these books dynamically according to the lessons of teachers in different classes. And we should also think about the following questions: What other good books and new books are there in this course? How to get the goods faster within a limited budget? How to optimize the registration process, so that the new book can be delivered to the classroom at the first time, just in time for the learning progress? What should I do with unused books and removed books? What should I do with books donated outside ... and so on? With these questions, the librarian began to get busy. At the same time, the headmaster also asked him to move the books directly into the classroom, and to move the books around at any time according to what kind of books he changed at any time in each grade and what classes he had recently attended in each classroom. He also asked for statistics on the number and times of borrowing, and asked for books to be sent to students in need. So the demand is increasing, and there are more and more things for librarians. Since then, he has become extremely busy. Obviously, his overall coordination ability has been fully exercised. Every day, in the process of such service, his service consciousness and ability to communicate with others are constantly and creatively growing. After several years, the position of librarian has been unable to accurately locate and describe his job responsibilities, and this person is no longer simply managing books.

Ren Zheng Fei once said: Let the people who hear the gunshots call the gunshots. In other words, let everyone point to the front line, serve the front line, provide support and services for front-line personnel, understand the front line, go deep into the front line, and let front-line personnel have the most say and be good at empowering front-line employees. After all, a lot of information is held by the top. If you don't give it to the front, you will have no resources when you go out to fight, so you can only rush forward on your own. This model has no chance of winning, and can only rely on luck, especially in a changing world, which cannot adapt to the environment.

If we think we can make a living by the skills of our posts, we are not far from elimination. After all, not every librarian is lucky enough to meet a headmaster like Li Xigui. After sharing the case of President Li Xi, Luo Zhenyu came to a conclusion: relying on the system and facing the people. I still agree with this view. Every post and every job should have an object consciousness, not just seeing things but not people, which will easily lead to demand mismatch, even departmentalism and bureaucracy.
