Yang Jidong, male, born in Shanghai, 1966. 199 1 Graduated from the postgraduate course of Peking University History Department. 199 1- 1994 edited by Shanghai Bookstore Publishing House. In 2000, he received a doctorate in Asia and the Middle East from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2008, he obtained a master's degree in library and information science from Rutgers University. From 2000 to 2008, he was the head of the Chinese Department of the University of Pennsylvania Library and a lecturer in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations. From July 20, 2008 to June 20, 2008, he was the director of the Asian Library of the University of Michigan. Since 20 13, he has been the director of East Asia Library of Stanford University.
