Introduction to the major setting of Iceland University
The University of Iceland has a long history. 19 1 1 year, the then Icelandic parliament commemorated the Icelandic national hero Yao EnSigur. On the occasion of the 0/00th anniversary of Zisong's birth, it was decided to establish the University of Iceland on the basis of the National Theological Seminary, the College of Physicians and the Law School. At the beginning of the establishment of Dabing University, there was no teaching building, so the classroom had to be located in the parliament building. It was not until 1940 that there was a real university building. There were only 45 students in the first session, and now the total number of students in the whole school has exceeded 8000.

Professional introduction

At present, the university has four main colleges, namely, School of Economics and Business Management, School of Humanities (Department of Literature, Department of Theology, Department of Social Sciences, Department of Law), Medical College (Department of Medicine, Department of Dentistry, Department of Nursing, Department of Pharmacy, National Hospital), Polytechnic College (Department of Natural Science, Department of Industrial Engineering) and other about 30 disciplines and hundreds of majors. For example, the natural science department has biology, computer, chemistry, geology, physics, mathematics and other disciplines. The University of Iceland also has more than 40 research institutes (departments) and centers in different disciplines. Hospitals, national libraries and national museums in China are also under the management of Dabing. Most research institutes are directly funded by the state without going through universities, so their administration and finance are independent. But each department is directly led by the university and has no financial power. The Institute of Natural Science is one of the largest research institutes in the University of Iceland, equivalent to the Academy of Sciences in Iceland. There are 7 research laboratories in physics, chemistry, mathematics, applied mathematics and computer science, earth science and geophysics, more than 30 research groups (laboratories), and more than 0/00 employees, including 49 professors and associate professors, and 57 other senior and intermediate researchers.
