Starting from the second half of 2008, the Palace Museum will launch a number of high-quality exhibitions to show the profound charm of the 600-year-old Forbidden City and the 95-year-old Palace Museum from the aspects of historical relics, calligraphy and painting utensils, court culture, literati, holiday customs, world civilization and archaeological discoveries. This series of exhibitions will last until the end of the year.

These dozens of exhibits will be exhibited in various exhibition halls of the Palace Museum, including the main hall of Wumen, the East-West Goose Wing Building, the Wenhua Hall, the Wuying Hall, the East-West Six Palaces and the Shenwumen. Up to 240,000 book versions will be exhibited in this exhibition. In addition to the book version of cultural relics, the exhibition hall will also be equipped with immersive scenes and interactive experience areas to bring a brand-new exhibition experience to the audience. The exhibition is located on both sides of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, south of Ningshou Palace. Zhong Cui Palace will hold "The Great Sage's Remains-Guqin Culture Exhibition" in April 20 10, which is the first exhibition of Guqin and its related cultural relics opened by the Palace Museum.

In addition to the standard musical instruments of the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Guqin, the exhibition hall will also set up the living exhibition area of the Ming and Qing Guqin and emperors, and display, piano boxes and other daily necessities.

Ren Jing Palace

Fengxian Hall will be restored to its original state and dedicated to the empresses of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is planned to open to the public in September 2008.

Fengxian Temple, located at the southern end of Dongliugong, is the place where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties offered sacrifices to their ancestors. Emperor Yongle of the Ming Dynasty moved the capital to Beijing and built Fengxian Temple as the ancestral temple on the east side of Gan Qing Palace.

It was rebuilt in the 14th year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, and rebuilt in Kang and Gan Dynasties, forming the present layout of Fengxian Hall. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), Fengxian Temple was rebuilt and used as a cultural relic warehouse and a special exhibition hall. At present, there is no primitive sacrifice.

In order to enrich the exhibition content of the Palace Museum, the sacrificial scenes in front of the temple and behind the bed will be restored in the form of exhibitions, and the ancestral worship scenes in the Qing Dynasty will be displayed. Seven of the first nine halls are planned to be restored to their original state, including memorial halls, confessional rooms and sacrificial containers from Nurhachi, the great ancestor of the Qing Dynasty, to Jiaqing.

The word gallery is intended to show the sacrificial procedures and descriptions of Fengxian Hall in Qing Dynasty, so that the audience can understand the sacrificial procedures of Fengxian Hall.

Yuqing Palace, the palace of the Crown Prince, will be presented as an exhibition of the original palace on the basis of solid textual research. Qian Dian returned to Guangxu period, mainly to show its position as a "land of canon learning" for young emperors and queens; Restoring the back hall to Jiaqing era mainly shows its style as "several leisure places" for the emperor.
