Taizhou, known as Hailing in ancient times for short, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, one of the 27 cities in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta, and an important industrial and trade port city in the Yangtze River Delta region of China approved by the State Council. As of 20 18, there are three districts and three county-level cities in the city. The total area is 5787 square kilometers.
