Shenyang jianzhu university is an institution of higher learning set up by the Ministry of Construction, which is characterized by architecture, civil engineering and other disciplines, and mainly focuses on engineering. Originally under the Ministry of Construction, it was placed under the management of Liaoning Province in the adjustment of the national school management system in 2000. 20 10 became an institution of higher learning established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the People's Government of Liaoning Province.
The school has five first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, architecture, urban and rural planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering and mechanical engineering, two post-doctoral research stations, 16 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degrees, and 15 master's degree authorization points. The undergraduate education in our school includes 7 categories, 24 majors and 47 majors. In September 2006, we passed the evaluation of undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of Education with "excellent" results. Civil engineering, mechanical design, manufacturing and automation have passed the engineering education certification. Architecture, urban and rural planning, water supply and drainage science and engineering, building environment and energy application engineering, and project management have passed the professional education evaluation (certification) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development with the longest validity period. Six majors were rated as national specialty construction sites, and seven majors were approved as the first batch of undergraduate advantage majors in general higher education in Liaoning Province. Among the 30 majors that participated in the comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate majors in colleges and universities in Liaoning Province, 7 majors ranked first and 23 majors ranked in the top five. The school has established inter-school exchanges and scientific research cooperation with more than 60 universities in more than 40 countries and regions, including the University of Miami in the United States, the University of Technology Sydney in Australia, the Russian Tang State University of Technology and the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. It is the unit selected by the Ministry of Education to recruit domestic visiting scholars, the first batch of schools in the State Council that can recruit foreign students, and the institution of China government scholarship to recruit foreign students in China. It is an institution that Liaoning provincial government recruits doctoral scholarships for foreign students, and it is a high-level talent training base and cadre education and training base in Liaoning province.
