Jilin Medical University is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province. The school is an independent undergraduate college of western medicine in Jilin Province. Jilin master's degree authorized units set up A-class universities, which are the first batch of pilot units in the province to jointly train master's students.

Jilin Medical College was formerly known as Changchun Nurse Training Team of Northeast Military Region Air Force, which was established in 1952. 1In August 1954, it was renamed as Air Force 46 1 Hospital Affiliated Senior Nursing School. /kloc-0 changed its name to air force medical college in June, 1993. In August, 2004, with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, the school was transferred to Jilin Province by the army as a whole and was named Jilin Medical College.
