One day 20 years ago, I just entered the university, and with a curious heart, I borrowed a collection of western classic oil paintings from the school library. Although I also saw famous oil paintings such as Mona Lisa and The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci from textbooks when I was in middle school, it was the first time for me to appreciate the collection of western classic oil paintings, so I was particularly interested in it and read it carefully page by page. When I saw The Fountain of Anger, I was shocked for a moment. To tell the truth, I was deeply moved by the beautiful, pure, quiet and elegant image and breath released by the painting Spring. I never thought that oil painting was so beautiful, and I never thought that artists could paint oil paintings so beautifully. From then on, I fell in love with oil painting and remembered the name angel.
Angel (1780- 1867),1the most important French neoclassical painter in the 9th century and the chief representative of the academic school. Fountain is Engel's masterpiece, conceived at the age of 50 and completed at the age of 76. It is a classic in western oil painting and is listed as a model of art and oil painting teaching by many countries in the world.
After seeing The Fountain, I paid close attention to many of Angel's oil paintings, such as Maid-in-waiting, Madame Tramuev sitting in front of the mirror, Madame Vapinsson in the Bath, and Hammam. I feel that every oil painting by Angel not only shows his superb painting skills, but also reveals a solemn, elegant and pure temperament. So over the years, although I have seen many oil paintings and met many oil painters, my favorite painter is still an angel, and my favorite oil painting is still spring.
