Under the care of the Party Committee and People's Government of state administration of traditional chinese medicine and the autonomous region, the school conscientiously implements the Party's educational policy, adheres to the socialist direction of running schools, and constantly improves the level of running schools and the quality of teaching. All the work has achieved gratifying results, which has made the school show a good development trend.

First, continue to deepen teaching reform and continuously improve teaching quality.

1. Do a good job in curriculum construction and promote scientific curriculum setting. With the goal of cultivating students' practical ability, the school perfects the overall teaching plan, optimizes the teaching content system and curriculum structure, and adjusts the ratio of theoretical courses to practical courses, requiring practical courses to occupy more than 30% of the time. At the same time, the practical teaching syllabus and students' skill training manual have been formulated and improved, the practical teaching and clinical teaching have been intensified, and students' practical ability and ability to solve practical problems have been emphasized.

2. Constantly reform teaching methods and realize diversification of teaching methods. In cultivating students' practical ability, we should start with the most basic skills training, and let students directly contact, experience and master advanced technology through demonstration experiments, students' practical experiments and teachers' guidance. At the same time, the new technology is introduced in the form of multimedia and campus network, so that students can keep abreast of the new technology trends. While teaching them to master technical methods, we should guide students to establish a scientific way of thinking and enhance their sense of innovation.

3. Chinese teaching has been further strengthened. In order to improve students' comprehensive quality and expand employment opportunities, the Chinese preparatory course 1 year system has been implemented since 200 1 year. The school has made great efforts to deepen the curriculum reform. On the basis of the original basic Chinese and medical Chinese, three new courses of Chinese writing, Chinese listening and Chinese proficiency test have been added. Students must pass HSK Band 6. Through several years' efforts, the preparatory course system has achieved initial results. In 2003, 24.7% of the students passed HKS examination after grade 6, and in 2004 it reached 765,438+0.5%. Two, strengthen the construction of teaching facilities, and constantly improve the conditions for running schools.

1. With the goal of strengthening practical teaching, we will continue to strengthen laboratory construction. In recent years, the school has stepped up laboratory construction, and has invested more than 3 million yuan to purchase new instruments and equipment, equipped with clinical medical training centers, chemical laboratories, pharmaceutical laboratories and other laboratories, and optimized the conditions of each laboratory. Combine the original scattered and low-level repetitive single-discipline laboratories, integrate experimental equipment, realize resource sharing, improve equipment utilization and reduce experimental costs.

2. Strengthen the construction of training base and form a practical teaching base in the school. Students participate in medical practice in the form of probation in the directly affiliated hospital and master the practical experience of medical work; Studying Uygur medicine processing, pharmaceutical technology and operation technology of pharmaceutical equipment in preparation room, pharmaceutical factory and medicinal material planting base; Participate in the cultivation, collection, processing, storage and sales of Uygur medicinal materials in the medicinal material planting base, improve the identification ability of medicinal materials in practice, and master the cultivation and processing technology of medicinal materials. At the same time, the school organized students to stay in the herb farm, study with folk Uyghur doctors, collect folk prescriptions and learn the experience of planting herbs, which further enriched practical experience and laid a solid foundation for future work.

3. Further strengthen the construction of off-campus practice bases. With the development of the school and the change of social demand for talents, the school began to seek cooperation with major hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and health care products companies such as Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Hospital, Turpan Uygur Hospital and Kashgar Uygur Hospital, and actively expanded off-campus training bases, bringing the number of school practice hospitals to 22 since 200 1. At the same time, the school signed cooperation agreements with Xinjiang Uygur Medicine Co., Ltd. and other enterprises to form an internship base covering the whole of Xinjiang. Practice teaching plays a positive role in consolidating and expanding students' professional knowledge, improving their practical ability and developing good professional ethics.

4. Make full use of modern teaching equipment and carry out diversified audio-visual education and computer-aided teaching. In recent years, the school has invested more than 4 million yuan to purchase equipment, enrich the equipment of modern teaching places such as voice classrooms, multimedia classrooms and computer rooms, establish campus local area networks, equip each teacher with computers, and develop teaching courseware with Uighur medical characteristics, thus creating conditions for modern teaching. Multimedia teaching accounts for more than 40% of all professional courses. At the beginning of 2004, the Education Department of the Autonomous Region evaluated the information construction and computer education of the school, and the school was rated as "qualified unit of information construction and computer basic teaching in Xinjiang higher vocational colleges" and qualified as the computer grade examination center of the autonomous region.

5. Strengthen the construction of teaching materials, improve and update the content and structure of teaching materials, and form the second edition teaching material system of Uygur medicine. On the basis of the textbook 14 compiled and published in the early school, the second edition of the textbook "Uyghur Medicine, Pharmacy and Advanced Nursing" was compiled from 200 1. * * * It is planned to compile and publish 30 textbooks, and 26 textbooks have been compiled and officially published 14 textbooks. Actively purchasing books and materials, increasing the variety and quantity of books and materials, especially in 2005, investing 250,000 yuan to equip library facilities and purchasing more than 90,000 books. At the same time, the management of the library is standardized, the service quality is improved, and excellent services are provided for teaching and scientific research.

7. Strengthen the collection and collation of ancient Uighur medicine documents. At present, 47 ancient books of Uygur medicine with high academic value have been collected, and 5 ancient books have been translated and sorted out by themselves.

Third, increase the intensity of work, and the atmosphere of teaching and research is becoming increasingly strong.

The school regards scientific research as an important task to improve teachers' quality and teaching quality and promote the rapid development of the school. According to the principle of "teaching with scientific research and promoting teaching with scientific research", teachers are encouraged to actively participate in scientific research and technological development. The school has set up a special research fund and formulated a series of policy documents to encourage scientific research to promote teachers to actively carry out teaching and research activities. The school has undertaken the 1 national key discipline construction project-the discipline construction task of cardiovascular direction of Uygur internal medicine, and four scientific research projects of Uygur medicine cultivation, Uygur medicine development, and pharmacodynamics research by the Science and Technology Department of the autonomous region. At the same time, the research work of some school-level scientific research projects has been carried out and achieved phased results.

Strengthen foreign cooperation and academic exchanges, and cooperate with Jiangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Testing Center of Institute of Medicine of China Academy of Medical Sciences, the Institute of Uygur Medicine of Autonomous Region and other scientific research units to develop 7 kinds of Uygur medicines and 2 kinds of single medicines.

Journal of Xinjiang Uygur Medical College has been edited and published since 199 1, which has effectively promoted the exchange of Uyghur medical teaching and scientific research achievements. In recent years, teachers and students have published more than 80 papers in academic journals at all levels inside and outside the region, and more than 200 papers have been published in the journal of our school or exchanged at academic seminars in the autonomous region. Teachers' consciousness of carrying out teaching and research has been obviously improved, and the teaching and research atmosphere in our school has become increasingly strong.

Four, strengthen the construction of teachers, improve the overall quality of teachers.

The school has always attached importance to the scientific allocation and planned training of teachers. When the school was first established, the problem of teachers was solved by transferring an old Uighur doctor to teach, accepting Uighur medical graduates from Hotan Health School and staying in our school. In 2005, while insisting on on on-the-job training, we organized academic lectures, computer training classes and intensive Chinese classes, participated in medical work in hospitals directly under the school and production practice in pharmaceutical factories, overcame the difficulties of few teachers and heavy teaching tasks, and sent them to train many teachers and improved their professional level. In the past four years, the school has sent three teachers to study abroad, and 26 teachers have studied in colleges and universities inside and outside the region, 9 of whom are studying for degrees. At the same time, Xinjiang Medical University sends teaching teachers to participate in teaching work every year, giving professional guidance, which promotes the improvement of teachers' teaching level. Through several years' efforts, a team of teachers with reasonable structure and high academic level has been formed, which can undertake the teaching tasks of Uygur medicine specialty.
