At present, he is a painter in the Art Talent Center of China Ministry of Culture, honorary president of Shaanxi Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, director of China Painting and Calligraphy Society of Taiwan Province Province, and consultant of Macau Painting and Calligraphy Association. He has exhibited in China Art Museum, Xi, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Yantai and Lanzhou. In 20001year, invited by the Ministry of Culture, he participated in the "Light of the Chinese Century-China Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition" held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. His work "Ode to the Yellow River" was displayed in the center of the rostrum and was highly praised by the Joint Education Headquarters and foreign friends of the Association.

He has exhibited in China Art Museum, Xi, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Yantai and Lanzhou. Invited to exhibit in Taiwan Province Province, Macau, Japan, Thailand and the United States, visitors came in an endless stream and were well received by experts. He has published Zhang Jieyu's Painting Collection (published by Shaanxi People's Fine Arts Publishing House), Selected Works of Zhang Jieyu, a famous contemporary painter in China (published by Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House) and Selected Works of Zhang Jieyu, a top 100 painter in China (published by Beijing Post Publishing House).

In 2005, he won the honorary title of "Outstanding Achievement Award of Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy in China" and "Outstanding Contemporary Meritorious Artist in China".
