Xingqing Campus is the main campus of Xi Jiaotong University, also known as the East Campus, where most of the majors of Jiaotong University are located. The main campus is located at No.28 Xianning West Road, Xi City, Shaanxi Province, the ancient capital of the 13th Dynasty, with an area of 3,849 mu and a building area of 6,543.8+0.755 million square meters. Qian Xuesen Library has 4.47 million books.

Second, the landscape design of Xingqing Campus

Located at the Founding Memorial Gate of Xingqing Campus, Huangshan Stone and Huizhou Stone Carving Art are used, and the plaque of the gate is engraved with "Nanyang Public School" and "Jiaotong University" respectively, which is based on the original plaque of Nanyang Public School before 1906 and the original plaque of Jiaotong University from 1928 to 1935.

The Westward Move Square is located in Xingqing Campus, with the spirit of 16 "taking care of the overall situation, selfless dedication, carrying forward the tradition and hard work", a brief introduction of Jiaotong University's westward move, the establishment and evolution of various institutions that moved to the school, and so on. There are six school relocation reliefs in the square.

Engineering mechanics is a famous major in Shaanxi province and a characteristic major of the Ministry of Education. Supported by World Bank loans, State Key Laboratory Construction Project, "21Project", "985 Project" and other projects, it has become an important base for training advanced mechanics professionals in China.

2. Training purpose

The major of engineering mechanics aims to train scientists and applied talents in mechanics. The purpose of training students to master solid mathematical foundation, advanced computing technology and application is to train senior professionals engaged in major mechanics and engineering and structural analysis (focusing on offshore engineering structures) in national economy and national security.
