Into the Wild series
My daughter likes watching Survival in the Wilderness very much. Almost all the videos of desert island survival are downloaded from the computer at home. When I am free, my daughter will watch and I will follow. This is a good program to watch the world scenery and learn survival skills with adventurers. Learning is for a better life. Only by transforming the knowledge in books into survival skills can we embody the wisdom of learning and enhance the meaning and value of life.

This semester, the fifth-grade students were given a comprehensive practical class, and several subjective comprehensive practical activities were carried out, including "flea market", lectures by scientists, learning to make mooncakes with iced skin, setting up a book corner in the class, social practice in autumn, sports meeting and so on. Most of them set up hands-on activities according to school homework and festival culture. Although students have no burden and classes are easy, there is no pressure and standardization. So that these activities become a mere formality. There is no preparation before class, only a few students participate in class, and there is little opportunity and time for hands-on operation. After comprehensive practice, there is no practice. Fortunately, after each comprehensive practice class, it is required to write an article, or record the classroom scene, activity content, preparation before class, activity ideas, people and stories in the activity, which can be a proposal, a thank-you letter, an activity plan and an imaginary composition. A variety of expressions, a semester down, students practice writing seven or eight times, writing ability has been exercised. Unfortunately, the collection and arrangement of students' articles is not timely, so that it is impossible to evaluate students' writing at the moment.

This is the last comprehensive practice class. I chose a desert island to survive. Bell jumped into the sea from a plane on a desert island in Papua New Guinea, escaped sharks and swam ashore. He climbed to the top of the mountain, grasped the situation of the desert island and determined the survival strategy. Building houses, eating coconuts, fishing, looking for water and so on. , involving all aspects of life, covering the application of knowledge in various subjects, is an example of comprehensive practice.

In class, I first briefly introduced the survival in the wild. The students were very excited when they heard this. Many students have seen it and like this exploration very much. I said: what Bell learned is for the application of life. Every episode of Bell is in a dangerous place, with no food, no water and no house. He only relied on a knife and some simple tools, relying on his super survival skills, trying to escape from danger and return to human society.

Bell is an experienced adventurer. He served in the British Army Special Forces. As a survival expert, he has been and done places and things that most ordinary people can't cope with. His adventures include climbing Mount Everest, playing jet skiing around the British Isles, crossing the frozen North Atlantic by boat, and climbing the top of the Himalayas.

From the first season to the eighth season of Survival on a Desert Island, Bell's figure has reached almost every remote and dangerous place on earth. This time, we followed the camera to a desert island in Papua New Guinea to see how Bell used the resources of the desert island to help him overcome various difficulties, what dangers Bell experienced in his life, what knowledge he used and how this knowledge helped him escape.

Although the picture is a bit empty and unreal in some places, the students are fascinated by it. The classroom is very quiet. Some students are watching and recording.

After watching the documentary, I said: the content of the video display is very rich. From the film, we can see Bell jumping off the plane, swimming across the sea, climbing to the top of the mountain, looking for food, building a house, fishing with a hook, grilled fish and eating fish, crossing the sea by raft and so on. We can imagine that we are Bell, how to use what we have learned to gain survival skills in this Into the Wild; You can describe a living scene of Bell, and write down Bell's actions, expressions and inner activities in detail. You can write a manual from the perspective of island or tourism, describing island scenery or island development planning. Or as Bell's entourage, look at Bell's actions with the eyes of a third party, communicate with him and witness Bell's feat.
