Gansu University of Political Science and Law is the only ordinary undergraduate political science and law college in Gansu Province, located in Anning District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. Its predecessor was 1956, the Gansu Provincial Cadre School of Political Science and Law, and 1984 was renamed Gansu University of Political Science and Law to offer general higher education. Postgraduate education started in 2007. After 60 years of construction, especially the rapid development since the establishment of general higher education, the school has now become one of the important political and legal institutions of higher learning in China. As of April 20 16, the school has two campuses, Anning District and Lanzhou New District Vocational Education Park, covering an area of 1080 mu, with a school building area of more than 300,000 square meters, teaching and research instruments and equipment with a total value of more than 61000 million yuan, library books150,000 volumes and digital resources/kloc-. There are 933 teaching and administrative staff, including 608 full-time teachers, more than 300 teachers with senior titles, 25 doctors (including studying)/kloc-0, 5 postdoctoral researchers and 496 teachers with master's degree or above. The school has 12 secondary colleges and 3 teaching departments (centers). There are 33 undergraduate majors, covering six disciplines such as law, economics, management, literature, engineering and art. The school has 13 master's degree authorization points for legal theory and criminal law, and two master's degree authorization points for law and social work, and recruits master's students for the whole country.
