Jinggangshan University, referred to as "Jingda" for short, is located in Ji 'an City, Jiangxi Province. Jinggangshan is the cradle of China revolution. It is a full-time comprehensive university integrating postgraduate education, general undergraduate education and international student education.

The school was founded in 1958 and has gone through the process of merging and renaming. In July 2003, Jinggangshan Normal College, Jinggangshan Medical College and Jinggangshan Vocational and Technical College merged to form Jinggangshan College. In August 2007, Jinggangshan College was officially renamed Jinggangshan University.
