Jiamusi University Library is the largest university library with a long history and rich collections in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province. Its predecessor was1the Hejiang Military Region Health Cadre School Library, which was established in July, 947.

1997 Jiamusi Medical College, Jiamusi Institute of Technology, Jiamusi Teachers College and former Jiamusi University merged to form a new Jiamusi University, and the original four school libraries were optimized and reorganized into Jiamusi University Library. From June 5 to February 2005, the library building covering an area of 37,000 square meters was completed and put into use, which marked that the library of Jiamusi University entered a new stage of development.

Jiamusi University has an existing building area of 38 104.6 square meters, including a hospital library in 1 area and a medical branch library in Area 2. There are 17 lending rooms with different functions, 2 academic lecture halls, 1 self-study areas, 13 student study rooms and nearly 6,000 reading seats.
