In the 13th year of Zheng De's reign (15 18), Wang Shouren put peace first, and put down the civil strife that had plagued Jiangxi for decades.

In the fourteenth year of Zheng De (15 19), Wang Yangming followed the example of Battle of Red Cliffs in Poyang Lake and put down the rebellion of Zhu Chenhao, the king of Hongdu Ning.

In the seventh year of Jiajing (1528), the rebellion of the southwest kiln and the thief of Duanteng Gorge were put down.

Step 2 think

Yangming school, also known as Wang Xue and Xue Xin, as a school of Confucianism, can be traced back to Mencius at the earliest, and it is a kind of Confucianism developed in Wang Shouren. On the premise of not deviating from the essence of Confucianism, he inherited Lu Jiuyuan's thought that "mind is reason", and opposed Cheng Yi and Zhu's method of seeking "truth" through things, because things are endless and it is quite tiring to make things unique.

Therefore, we advocate "to conscience" and seek "reason" from our own hearts. "Reason" lies in people's hearts, and "Reason" transforms everything in the universe. People hold its delicacy, so people hold its essence. In the relationship between knowledge and action, it is emphasized that knowledge is more important than action, and there are actions in knowledge and knowledge in action. The so-called "integration of knowledge and practice" is inseparable from the two. Knowledge must be manifested in behavior, if not, it can't be regarded as real knowledge. ?

Yangming school is one of the mainstream theories in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, which later spread in Japan and had great influence on Japan and East Asia.
