The library of Beihang University currently has 85 employees, including 59 with intermediate or above titles and 52 with bachelor degree or above. Librarian 1 person, 2 deputy librarians, and Party branch secretary 1 person. The library covers an area of nearly 20,000 square meters, with nearly 3,000 reading seats and 13 large reading rooms. It consists of six departments: office, literature resources acquisition department, literature resources cataloging and integration department, book circulation and lending service department, reader training and reference consulting department and network automation technical support department. From 2002 to 2003, the school invested more than 20 million yuan to expand and transform the library building as a whole. In 2006, the library completed the air conditioning installation project. The library covers an area of nearly 20,000 square meters, with nearly 3,000 reading seats and 13 large reading rooms. It is a learning and research center with beautiful appearance and comfortable interior setting.
