Yuan Gui, the largest bookstore, covers the seventeenth history, which is several times that of other books, so it is called the first of the four great books in Song Dynasty.
The four books were compiled by officials in the early Song Dynasty, namely, the encyclopedia Taiping Yulan, the historical book Cifu Yuangui, the literary book Wenyuan Huaying and the novel Taiping Guangji, all of which were compiled in the early Northern Song Dynasty.
"Taiping Fishing Tour" was first compiled in March of the second year of Taiping Xingguo in Song Taizong (977) and completed in October of the eighth year of Taiping Xingguo. Liu Yun, a bachelor of Hanlin, was compiled by Song Taizong, and his disciples Hu Meng, Wang Kezhen and Bai Song were also involved. Yuangui Bookstore was first compiled in the second year of Jingdezhen in Song Zhenzong (1005) and completed in the sixth year of Zhenzong Dazhong Xiangfu (10 13). Wang Qinruo, Yang Yi, Sun Ying, etc. 18 were ordered to be incorporated by Song Zhenzong. The book 1000 volumes is divided into 3 1 parts and 1 104 doors.
Wen Yuan Hua Ying was first compiled in the seventh year of Taiping Xingguo in Song Taizong (982) and completed in the third year of Yongxi in Song Taizong (986). More than 20 people, including Liu Yun, Xu Xuan, Bai Song and Su Yijian, were instructed by Song Taizong to edit the book. This book has 1000 volumes and is divided into 39 categories.
Taiping Guang Ji was first compiled in the second year of Taiping Xingguo in Song Taizong (977) and completed in the following year. This was compiled by Liu Yun, Hu Meng, Li Mu and others at the behest of Song Taizong. There are 500 volumes in the book, with the directory 10 volume, ***92 categories and 150 sub-categories.
Among the four major books, the earliest book was Taiping Guangji. Song recorded: "In March of the second year of (Taiping) Xingguo, Zhao Yun and others collected unofficial history's novels into 500 volumes, and it was written in August of three years, named Taiping Guangji".
