The Yongle Grand Ceremony is now on display in the National Library. The treasure of the town hall-12 "Yongle Dadian" is on display. On September 28th, a literary exhibition with the theme of "Great Collection of Literature" was held in Beijing. On that day, 12 Yongle dadian was originally hidden in the first exhibition hall of the museum. As soon as the Yongle ceremony was exposed, it instantly attracted many citizens to stop and enjoy it.

It is understood that Yongle Dadian is not only one of the four collections of the National Library, but also a treasure of the National Library. Today, the museum collects 224 volumes of Yongle Dadian, of which 62 volumes are still temporarily stored in the National Palace Museum in Taipei, accounting for more than half of the existing volumes of Yongle Dadian.

In the third year of Yongle, the legendary Ming Chengzu ordered the monk Yao He to compile the Yongle Grand Ceremony, and led more than 3,000 civil servants to take over the work. It took four years before and after, and the ceremony compiled seven or eight thousand kinds of books and collected as many ancient books of China as possible. The content of the ceremony can be said to be all-encompassing, which preserved a great deal of literature, art, philosophy, religion and applied science in China before14th century.
There are 22,877 volumes of the main text of Yongle Dadian, and 60 volumes of general examples and contents are packaged into 1 1095 volumes, with a total word count of about 370 million. Yongle Dadian is a rare large-scale book, a precious cultural heritage of the Chinese nation and the most mature and excellent encyclopedia in ancient China.
In the National Library of China, we saw such a collection table of Yongle Dadian. At present, Yongle Grand Ceremony is scattered in the hands of more than 30 units and individuals in 8 countries and regions! At present, there are only 800 volumes and 400 volumes of Yongle Dadian in public and private collections around the world. In other words, the total number of Yongle ceremonies we can see is less than the original 4%! 96% of the Yongle ceremony is gone! From 1 1095 to less than 400 copies, how did more than 10,000 copies of Yongle Dadian get lost?
After the Yongle ceremony was completed, it was originally hidden in Nanjing Wen Yuan Pavilion. In the 19th year of Yongle, namely 142 1 year, after more than ten years of careful preparation and large-scale construction, Judy's new palace and the future capital of Beijing were completed. It was at this time that the Yongle Grand Ceremony moved from Nanjing to this mysterious palace. As a royal collection, it is confidential.
Throughout the Ming dynasty, not to mention ordinary literati, even senior officials, did not have the opportunity to contact and read the Yongle Dadian, and became the personal royal products of feudal emperors. Yongle Dadian is rarely mentioned in the history books of the Ming Dynasty, and even if it is recorded, it is only a few words! With the passage of time, the Yongle ceremony seems to have gradually disappeared from people's field of vision.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, Xu and other officials pushed open the Huangshi Gate in the street. Surprisingly, the Yongle Grand Ceremony, which has been missing for hundreds of years since the war in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, lies quietly in these golden rooms. At this time, Yongle Grand Ceremony has been dismembered.
In the thirty-seventh year of Qianlong, the Siku Quanshu Museum was opened, and the Yongle Grand Ceremony should be used for inventory. More than 1 000 volumes were found missing, and 2422 volumes were counted. In the first year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty, when imperial academy was rebuilt, there were less than 5,000 books in the grand ceremony! By June of the 20th year of Guangxu, Wen Tonghe had only got 800 exams in imperial academy! In just 20 years, from 5,000 to 800! Yongle ceremony is losing at an alarming rate. What is puzzling is what happened in the end, which led to the loss of Yongle Dadian so quickly!
According to the records of the Qing Dynasty, after the revision of Sikuquanshu, some officials regarded Yongle Dadian as redundant! The Qing government's supervision of Yongle Grand Ceremony is also much worse than before. Since then, "Yongle Dadian" has been shelved and nobody cares! Some officials also began to steal. According to Guangxu period, an academician stole 100 copies of Yongle Dadian while studying. After Wen died, these books were sold to foreigners or antique dealers by his descendants! In this way, "Yongle Dadian" lost a lot!
In the 26th year of Guangxu, Eight-Nation Alliance invaded Beijing, burning and looting the ancient capital of civilization. The Hanlin Academy, located in Dongjiaomin Lane near the embassy district, has become a battlefield. Those priceless ancient books, some of which have never even lived outside the palace, are being swallowed up by the fire bit by bit! Some unburned books are left in the yard and pond! The invaders plundered the Yongle ceremony. After this disaster, the Yongle Grand Ceremony was almost lost, leaving only a few hundred copies scattered around the world!
