Rick Hansen was born on August 26th, 1957 in Albany, British Columbia, and grew up on the shores of Lake Williams. 1973, 15-year-old Hansen was hit by a truck, paraplegic at a high position, and could no longer walk, which caused a boy who loved sports and won prizes in many sports to fall into deep pain.

However, Rick Hansen soon strengthened himself from despair, faced up to the difficulties he faced and raised the sail of life again. After completing the high school course, he became the first disabled college student to graduate from the University of British Columbia 1986, and obtained a bachelor's degree in physical education. At the same time, Hansen became a world-class wheelchair marathon driver, participated in the 1984 Paralympic Games, and was active in various sports competitions.

Inspired by his best friend, another famous Canadian disabled hero, terry fox, he began to raise money for spinal nerve research and wheelchair sports, so Rick decided to do a 40,000-kilometer wheelchair challenge, which is equivalent to traveling around the world. 1985 On March 2 1 day, Rick Hansen left Vancouver and started the wheelchair trip of "Dynamic People World Tour Concert". In two years and two months, he drove a wheelchair across 34 countries on four continents, with a journey of 40,000 kilometers. In this feat, Rick pushes the wheel of the wheelchair 30 times a day. The wheelchair pushes 50 to 70 kilometers every day, which takes him into mountains, deserts and snowstorms with no vision. At the end of the trip, the active man always raised 26 million yuan for the spinal cord injury research (SCI) and returned to Vancouver on March 22nd. 1987.
