Suzhou Literature Museum reproduces the development history of Suzhou literature, interprets Suzhou writers and their works, and revitalizes the urban cultural memory belonging to Suzhou.

Highlight 1: the second class for citizens

The literature museum is presented in the form of an exhibition area, with reference to the layout of Suzhou gardens, focusing on historical context, and has the effect of "step by step" when the public visits. Displaying writers or literary phenomena in various periods in Suzhou, including related pictures, works, literary comments, historical materials and exhibits, has become the second classroom for citizens to understand Suzhou literature.

Highlight 2: Help teenagers write.

By inviting relevant writers, the Literature Museum guides young people to write and helps improve their writing level. At the same time, an essay contest will be held in cooperation with propaganda, education, Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Writers Association and other departments to select outstanding works for display.

Highlight 3: literary exchange platform

Taking Justice Academy (the predecessor of Suzhou Library) as a model, the Literature Museum has built a public cultural activity space integrating the functions of temporary exhibition, salon, creation, research and training, and invited famous writers in the literary world to hold creative lectures, symposiums and new book sharing meetings. Let the public communicate with writers at zero distance and let Suzhou young writers have a platform for publicity and display.
