China hownet digital library provides a variety of retrieval methods, including:

Navigation retrieval: from the navigation directory, step by step into the next directory, directly to the content you need.

Keyword retrieval: select a retrieval method, enter the corresponding keywords, and retrieve the results.

Secondary retrieval: after the first retrieval operation, if you feel that the range of retrieval results is large, you can conduct multiple secondary retrieval on this basis to narrow the retrieval range and push the retrieval results one by one.

Advanced retrieval: a fast query method combined by logical relations. The logical relationship is "and, or, not". The advantage of this retrieval method is that the query results are less redundant and the hit rate is high. This retrieval system is recommended for queries with high hit rate.

Retrieval mode: China HowNet database provides various retrieval modes. Such as title retrieval, keyword retrieval, abstract retrieval, author retrieval, journal (newspaper, paper) name retrieval and so on.
