Book Review of The Count of Monte Cristo —— Waiting and Hope
It's been many days since I finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo, but when I got the book back from the library, I still had some difficulty. I have to take two books home because the first volume has been borrowed. I have almost finished reading the first book on the e-book. I thought it would take at least two months to finish reading. But the plot of the novel is interlocking and fascinating, and it was all read in less than two weeks. In the process of watching, I also watched cartoons related to the Count of Monte Cristo and movies about the new Count of Monte Cristo, but they didn't feel very good, nor were they as vivid as the plots and characters in the book. After so many days, it's still vivid.

Recalling the experience of studying in the process of growing up, the earliest memory is in the second grade, and I have to say that the librarian of the primary school at that time. He is our math teacher, a tall and burly male teacher, who seems a little amiable. However, this does not affect his strictness with us. In his impression, he always dangles in front of us with a teaching stick, and occasionally falls gently on those particularly naughty classmates. I was particularly envious when I saw him take the senior children to the library. I followed him secretly and looked out of the window. Inadvertently discovered by the teacher, I had the cheek to ask the teacher to let me borrow two books. The teacher readily agreed. Perhaps because of this reason, I have a special love for mathematics, so that my mathematics has been very good since then, largely thanks to the particularly good enlightenment education he gave me.

Of course, with my little courage, I obviously didn't dare to do such a bold thing alone. Speaking of this, it reminds me of my classmate A Min, whose grades have always been equally divided in primary school. Every time we borrow books, we go together and finish reading two books in almost a week. This special case only applies to the two of us. Other students in the class don't have this privilege because most of them are male students. At that time, maybe they were not interested in reading and didn't appreciate the fun in books. That small library has been deeply imprinted in my childhood memory and has a far-reaching influence on me later. So wherever I go now, I will go to the library there. Every time I see a bookstore in a shopping mall or on the street, I will go in and feel it. I can't put it down and linger.

Speaking of the books I read at that time, I can't remember many of them. Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio and The Wizard of Oz are particularly impressive. Probably this kind of fairy tales, perhaps for this reason, I have always liked this kind of fantasy and adventure books or movies.

Later, when I was growing up, I read many novels, especially The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Gone with the Wind. Sherlock Holmes was borrowed from an aunt at that time, but unfortunately he left it behind his bike, which made me sad for a long time. Speaking of Gone with the Wind, this is a story that ends in tragedy. The heroine in it is my favorite character, which is richer and more stereoscopic than the characters in novels such as Jane Eyre. So far, no other heroine has surpassed her position. But this time, the count of Monte Cristo was the first person who made me feel that my position might be equal to her. So last year, when I first asked Codeword to publish my first book review, I chose this book and The Count of Monte Cristo, a courageous person with clear love and hate.

Dumas started with a simple story frame and wrote a novel with more than one million words. First of all, I especially admire the author. If I want to write a novel in the future, the first object to learn imitation is him. I had the idea of writing something a long time ago, but I have always been worried about becoming a writer. Because in many writers I know and know, most of them have tragic endings, or have experienced pains that ordinary people have never experienced before, in order to write words that are sincere and empathetic. But I hope my life is beautiful and colorful, and I don't want to suffer any more.

? "There is no happiness or misfortune in this world. Just a comparison between one situation and another, that's all. Only those who have experienced extreme misfortune can taste extreme happiness. Only those who are determined to die, Maximilian, will know how good it is to live. Live happily, my dear children, please never forget that until the day when God promises to reveal the future for mankind, all human wisdom is contained in these five words: wait and hope! "

The above passage is a letter written by the hero of the story at the end. Be praised by many people. I have read a lot of book reviews, most of which are stories, the protagonist's pleasant love, gratitude and resentment and so on. If I want to know the specific plot, I can read books by myself. Dumas' writing level and popularity obviously do not lack my pursuit and praise for this book review. So what I want to say here is more about my own feelings, but how I understand waiting and hope. To tell the truth, I still don't quite understand this passage. This passage may describe how he came over in prison for more than ten years. Even though he went from a particularly beautiful life to a prison hell, he suffered injustice and tried to end his life several times. Later, his waiting and hope saved his life and made him meet the priest in his life. It not only gave him hope for life, but also taught him all kinds of talents and skills, so that he inherited a lot of wealth. But the problem is that the count of Monte Cristo later treated those who had hurt him, not waiting for fate's own arrangement, but through his wealth and wisdom, he artificially retaliated against these people in different ways. Perhaps this is the second half of the story. After some unexpected developments, he gradually realized that his revenge was a bit excessive and defensive. Finally, I began to look for ways to recover, and finally got a happy ending. Looking at waiting and hope like this is also a kind of repentance for your once happy behavior.

Speaking of waiting, in Shanghai, a populous city, waiting in line can be seen everywhere, especially for people like me who commute by subway every day. Those who are anxious and don't want to wait will inevitably cause confusion and trampling.

I remember a few years ago, I loved to sleep late in the morning, and I was stuck tightly every time. I wait for the subway to take the shortest route and reach the next entrance as soon as possible, because I am ahead of everyone, so this time is relatively easy. If I am one of the people with the biggest waves, I can only wait slowly and follow the rhythm of the big stream. Sometimes I really hate to see the dark crowd.

In the past two years, children have started to go to primary school. I get up early in the morning, and when time is not so tight, I will wait for them to pass first, and then I will move on slowly. While waiting, they will listen to their favorite music or watch their favorite movies, so that time will flow away slowly, and there will be no impatience of running breathlessly and secretly, and there will be no fear of being late. The extra cost is only 10.

Speaking of waiting, I was particularly impressed by the Jiuzhaigou incident during the National Day of 20 13. We watched things ferment with our own eyes. Jiuzhaigou has a long mountain road, and the scenic spots are mainly connected by bus, and the cost is included in the ticket. Due to too many tourists, narrow mountain roads and limited number of buses, even if it keeps running, it can't meet the passenger flow of the day. During the afternoon rush hour, we walked a long mountain road and waited for the bus on the platform, but when we saw that the passing buses were crowded with people, we stopped. Even though 3-4 cars passed, at last a dozen cars didn't stop, so many people began to worry, and several impatient people stopped in the middle of the road and refused to pass. In addition, the scenic spot is too big and there is no distributed broadcast system. It will take a long time for the relevant personnel to arrive at the scene for evacuation and mediation. At this time, the tourists' emotions accumulated for too long to break out, and several young men directly clashed with the driver. As a result, roads have become more congested, buses can't get on and off, and the situation has become worse. In the end, most people walked down the mountain by themselves, so we got out of the scenic spot before dark. Later, I heard that many people were trapped in the mountains after dark and the ticket office was smashed by tourists. Later, the tour group gave us a full refund. Fortunately, we arrived at Jiuzhaigou, not far from Wan Li, and enjoyed many beautiful scenery on the mountain road before entering Jiuzhaigou. Although Jiuzhaigou is our destination, we didn't put all our hopes on it, so even if Jiuzhaigou is a little imperfect, it won't affect our happy mood throughout the trip. The beauty of waiting lies in waiting for the hope of the future, and at every moment in the process of reaching the hope, we are all happy, and it is God's best arrangement to accept everything at present. Then, happiness, anger, sadness and joy express our most appropriate emotions and make the most reasonable arrangements.

There are also particularly impressive waiting in fairy tales. In The Little Prince and Beauty and the Beast, the princes are waiting for roses. They not only wait for the flowers to bloom, but also wait for the flowers to fall. In the process of waiting, I accompanied my beloved rose with a yearning and hope. When the little prince left his planet and passed a lot of roses on the earth, he was also surprised to find that many roses were exactly the same as those on his planet. The little prince said, "you are beautiful, but empty, and no one will die for you." Yes, ordinary passers-by may think my rose is like you, but she is better than all of you, because she is my irrigated rose; She is the rose that I put under the glass cover to protect me from the wind and kill the caterpillar for her; Because, she is the rose that I am willing to listen to her complaining, boasting and even silence; Because she is my rose. " "Because you spend time on your rose, she is very important." In Beauty and the Beast, "the quality of things only depends on how you look at them". It's not what others think of me, but what I think of myself. The story is to find a beautiful soul under the ugly appearance while waiting for the roses to bloom and fall.

In our life, ourselves, our lovers, children or relatives around us are all our roses. They need patient watering, hope love, appreciate its beauty and wait for its flowers to bloom and fall.
