Guilin institute of tourism Library was built on 1986, and the new library (graphic information center) was completed on 20 1 1 in 2004, with a construction area of 28,700 square meters.

Guilin University is a state-owned private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and organized by Guangxi Education Department and Guilin Xincheng Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd.

The school's predecessor was Lijiang College of Guangxi Normal University, which was founded by Guangxi Normal University and social investors in May 20001year. It has a fully functional teaching administrative area, student apartment area, teacher apartment area, sports area and three squares of "Zhishan", "Hongshan" and "Leshan", two multifunctional lecture halls of "Zhishan" and "Hongshan", as well as intelligent classrooms, multimedia classrooms and various professional experimental training rooms. The sports area integrates standard track and field, five-a-side or seven-a-side football field, volleyball court and indoor arena.

Apartment-style student dormitories are equipped with air conditioners and washing machines, and hot water is supplied regularly. The corridor-style "Zhishanlou" teaching building group can accommodate nearly 6,000 students at the same time, and the "Leshan Restaurant" with socialized service management has been rated as "standardized student canteen in Guangxi universities".
