What is the primary education in Australia?
Primary education in Australia is mainly laissez-faire. The reason for this is that there are no textbooks, pencil boxes and exercise books in the schoolbags that children carry to school every day, only water, food, hats and sunscreen (only God knows whether they will wear them themselves), plus a library bag, and books borrowed from school must be packed in this specific schoolbag.

The subjects studied in primary schools include English, mathematics, social and environmental studies, science, art, a second language other than English, technology, personal development, physical education and health education. But I personally think that English reading is the most important thing for schools. I want to come because only reading can understand and writing can communicate with people and society, which is the most basic skill for everyone to survive in this society; And once this good habit is formed, it will benefit you for life.

Primary school begins at the age of 5 and enters the pre-school preparatory class (PREP). At the age of 6, I started from Grade One (YEAR 1) to Grade Six (YEAR6). It takes home a thin book every day, accompanied by its parents, and needs their comments and signatures. The difficulty of books is distinguished by the different color labels attached to each book. The teacher will decide what level of books to read according to the child's test.

The books you take home to read should be simple enough for children to finish independently. The purpose of home reading is to practice the reading skills and behaviors that children learn in school, further improve their fluency and expressive ability, and spend more time with their parents and enjoy reading together.

From the third grade of primary school (some schools start earlier), children need to record their school activities every day, accurate to the hour. Doing so is conducive to children to develop a regular life, and can also plan ahead for future work and exercise in advance. Therefore, children here can independently work out an amazing and meticulous schedule for their birthday parties or other activities at a very young age. The time, people, required materials, projects and so on are all available, which makes people have to give a thumbs up.

After the third year of high school, homework begins with project. Some need children to go to the library to consult a large number of materials to complete an article, some need children to consult various sources of materials and play the role of historical figures, and some need parents to cooperate to build a complex model. Generally, schools will assign several assignments at the same time, which will not be completed overnight, but will have different deadlines, so that students can cultivate their time management ability while completing their assignments.

Let's take a look at the homework of a primary school in the third grade:

Every four weeks of homework in the third grade of primary school, parents should accompany or supervise the signature. The content is as follows:

1

Method: Look, cover, write, check, look, cover, write down and check again.

When children are studying at school, they extract some words from books, which need to be spelled when they go home.

read

Read it aloud to your parents, who need to read the record or diary every night and sign it.

3. housework

Make your own bed every day and keep your bedroom tidy.

Step 4 talk

Choose the right letters from the box to spell a word consisting of 3-9 letters, and see how many can you spell at most?

Record 10 interesting words in a book you have read or read to you, and arrange them in alphabetical order.

5. Numbers

Help parents cook (dishes), record the amount of each raw material and the temperature of the oven used.

Record the time when you brush your teeth, walk to school, eat, make the bed and write all the spelling words.

6. Innovative mind and body

Design an obstacle course, which can be held in the courtyard or park, and needs to be held with friends or brothers and sisters.

Make a short film about your favorite character, which can be seen on TV/in books or imagined by yourself. This cartoon needs to tell a short story to tell people what happened to this character.

7. Citizens of the world

May 1 1 is Mother's Day. Do something for your mother, grandmother or any adults who feel special, such as making a card, making a snack or helping. Write down 2-3 sentences to describe what you did and the adults' reaction.
