I. Introduction of Wuhan University Library
Wuhan University Library is famous for its long history, rich collections, magnificent buildings and elegant environment. The library was formerly the Hubei Qiangzi Academy Library founded by Zhang Zhidong, Governor of Huguang at the end of 19, which was officially completed in17, and was named as the National Wuhan University Library in 1928.
20 1 1, 1 1, the expansion project of the new headquarters was completed and put into use. On May 20 16, the new branch library of Information Science was built and put into use. The school has a library building area of 77,389 square meters, a reference room14,242 square meters, and a national network security college library of 20,702 square meters, with a total service area of112,333 square meters.

In the national literature resources survey, 2 1 subject collections were rated as "research-level collections", and the guarantee rate of Chinese and foreign books and periodicals in hydraulic engineering, electric power engineering, power engineering, surveying and mapping and other majors ranked first in the country.
Third, the composition of Wuhan University Library
The library now has six centers and three branches, including resource construction center, literature lending center, academic exchange and service center, ancient books protection center, special collection center, technical support center, engineering branch library, information science branch library and medical branch library.
