Four reasons for establishing a book corner
It is recommended to read in the morning or in the afternoon.

I. Suggestions for morning reading or afternoon reading:

1. The morning reading or afternoon reading time is 20-30 minutes, and all classes in the school read at the same time; I don't do other things during this reading time, such as doing homework and making up lessons.

2. When reading in the morning or afternoon, you need to be supervised by a teacher, especially in the first month or two; When the operation is mature and students have mastered the requirements of the school, they can consider cultivating their self-management ability from the sixth grade.

3. The reason for the teacher's supervision: to cultivate students' learning interests and habits, and to require all students to read quietly and intently. The teacher teaches students to take good care of books. Teachers can understand students' reading hobbies and abilities, so as to choose suitable books to bring into the classroom. From grade one to grade two, teachers tell stories, and use this process to arouse students' interest and introduce books to them.

4. The books that students read are borrowed from the corner of the classroom; At the beginning, if there are not enough books in the corner of the library, go to the library to borrow them and change a batch every two or three weeks; Choose books with pinyin and many illustrations in the lower grades. It is suggested that some students and teachers can be invited to choose books together. You can change a batch of books in two to four weeks, and the lower grades may take less time.

5. Send and receive books during reading time in the afternoon: each group arranges a group leader to send and receive books and put them in the designated position in the corner of the book; Students can exchange books with their neighbors after reading the books in their hands, and the group leader still receives the books in the hands of classmates; The next day, students can continue reading unfinished books; In order to ensure that students have new books to read after reading, the number of books prepared in each class is 5- 10 more than the number of students.

6. At the beginning of afternoon reading, students can be encouraged to bring their own books for afternoon reading, which can be brought back from their own homes or borrowed from the library. After a few weeks of reading activities, students can gradually borrow books from senior grades and go home to read; Add a grade every month, and the first year can continue to the third grade; In this way, the shortage of books in the library can be alleviated.

7. When reading a book in the afternoon, students can still take notes while reading it with a notebook, but it should be noted that students only care about the task and write down the most touching or wonderful fragments after reading part of the book; Generally speaking, a book report is written after reading a book. Taking notes is to help them write down some materials and help them write reports. We suggest instructing students to stop and think after reading a story, an article or a few pages. If they feel/are moved, they should write notes and write down wonderful words and feelings for reference in future reports.

8. Use the reading record form in the binder of the reading record book to let students log in the books they have read, including the books they have read at home; Students will have a complete reading record.

9. The binder of the reading record book can be arranged for students to put on the desk or in the reading corner or in the hands of the teacher. Students can fill in the reading record book when reading in the morning or afternoon.

10. In the last 5 minutes of morning reading or afternoon reading every day, consider arranging students to take turns to spend 1 minute to talk about their reading feelings or experiences or briefly describe the story (teachers can provide several modes of expressing sentences to make students speak more orderly and improve their oral expression ability).

Two. Suggestions for reading class:

1. Arrange a class reading every week; Reading classes can be held in libraries or classrooms as needed.

2. The first month of reading class is mainly to train students to enter the library in an orderly manner, to train students to learn the rules of using the library, to guide students to correctly take books and put them back in the bookcase, to understand the information of book cover, spine and library card, to return books, and to care for and keep books. If students find books or book covers damaged, they should immediately notify the librarian to repair the books.

3. In the process of reading class, teachers should first enter the classroom, organize students to queue up, and then lead students to the library after learning, so that students can enter the library in an orderly manner for reading class.

4. A few months ago, we used reading classes to let students read more books and give them the opportunity to choose their favorite books. Especially junior students, you can also let them try to choose their favorite books in the bookcase. Referring to our CD-ROM "Reading Class Demonstration", there is a video to guide students to take books with plastic cards.

5. If the school has no confidence in grade one or two, it can start a reading class in the classroom, let students know books, listen to stories, teach them to March into the library and use the rules of the library, and then take them to the library to introduce the facilities of the library, which are suitable for their reading posts; Then try to get them to take books from the bookcase with plastic cards (which can be done in another class); Show the students the books for a while, and then ask them to put them back in the bookcase. If you want children to be orderly, you can take turns to take books in groups; It is not until they are familiar with it that more students or all students are allowed to look for books freely at the same time.

6. A few weeks after the introduction of the reading class, students can gradually borrow books from senior grades and go home to read; Add a grade every month, and the first year can continue to the third grade; Senior students use the library card at the back of the book. When borrowing books, each student fills in the name and borrowing date on the card, which is collected by the group leader or student representative, and put in school bags in groups (in the classroom or kept by the reading teacher). When returning books in the second week, first teach students to put their library cards back in their schoolbags in the classroom, and then the team leader will check them; Then take their books to the library, put them in the designated location for collection, and then put them back in the bookcase by the administrator (teacher or student administrator); If students know how to use the login number to put the books back in the bookcase, they will put the books back in the bookcase separately; It will be more efficient to borrow and return books.

7. Junior students can't borrow books for the time being, so they can take them back (in the classroom) or put them back in the bookcase (in the library) after reading them.

8. Students can still take notes while reading in the reading class, but it should be noted that students only care about the task and write down the most touching or wonderful fragments after reading some books; Generally speaking, a book report is written after reading a book. Taking notes is to help them write down some materials and help them write reports. We suggest instructing students to stop and think after reading a story, an article or a few pages. If they feel/are moved, they should write notes and write down wonderful words and feelings for reference in future reports.

9. Students can write reports in several styles; In the past, many schools gave students low and monotonous reports, so it is suggested to refer to and adopt the style we provided. The style of the report we provide needs to be improved gradually. After making several reports of the same type, students can change to a new style, which can not only improve their level of writing reports, but also continue their interest in writing reports.

10. When releasing the new report style, it is advisable to use part of the reading class to explain the contents and requirements, and give students time to make reports in class, thus ensuring the quality of students' reports; Grade 123 needs special guidance in class. If you are instructed to write a reading report, the reading class can be held in the classroom. After instructing students to be familiar with a report style, they can use the same style for three weeks in a row. After the teacher comments on the report, if there are any suggestions for overall improvement, you can use the time of the next reading class to make summary guidance with the students and share excellent works.

1 1. Various reading activities, mainly morning reading or afternoon reading every day; For example, if there are many students in the school and there are not enough books in the corner of the classroom or there are no corners, we will go to the library to borrow books, thus emptying the library. In this case, the reading class can be postponed. But to make a timetable, it is best to set up a book corner in the classroom as soon as possible within two months, so that the number of books can meet the requirements of early reading or afternoon reading.

12. In the past, other schools established the number of books in the corner: the leaders of the central school allocated funds to let the school purchase more books; Ask each student to donate one or two books and put them in the book corner; Parents of all classes will organize parents to buy suitable books from book companies and send them to the book corner; Select some books that are still suitable for students to read from the past books to enrich the book corner; Seek resources from outside (business owners) to buy books. * Pay attention to the quality when buying new books, and don't buy expired books or pirated books at a big discount; We should cultivate the next generation to respect copyright from an early age.

13. When the reading class has been implemented for several months or a semester, the school should be prepared to systematically teach students various reading knowledge, skills and reading strategies in the reading class. Refer to the syllabus of reading class provided by Mengfei.
